Publicity material for PVC company

Company contracts website plus hard-copy publicity material
Another company making full use of the various services offered by NSA is O’Cintrage-PVC, a company specialising in the manufacture of curved and rounded PVC windows. Located in Béziers in the south of France, the company initially contracted NSA Website Design to create and maintain their website (www.ocintrage-pvc.com). This has been highly successful for the company, attracting new business for their product.

To further enhance their publicity they requested the NSA subsidiary (www.nsa-companynewsletters.co.uk) to provide them with customer leaflets and client A4 folders - to hold the many product specification sheets they have (also produced as PDF files by NSA).

The A4 folders created by NSA were published and then despatched to a Béziers printer known for the quality of their work. The client specified full colour but required a special matte finish encapsulation – hence the use of a specialised printing company.

The leaflets, brochures and A4 folders have just been completed on time and to the client’s full specification.

Make-over for Scottish company’s website

Website in need of a change and a make-over
Total Paving Solutions Ltd is a vibrant company operating in Scotland and offering a range of home and garden services. These include the design and install driveways, create paved patios and paths and landscape gardens. They also offer professional restoration of commercial and larger properties, including retail premises, shops, cafes and restaurants, offices and workplaces, apartments and other residential complexes

Working in association with market leaders in product manufacture and supply the company has developed and specialises in 4 key areas of the landscaping and paving industry.

The company asked NSA to look again at their commercial website(www.totalpavingsolutions.co.uk) which is a key focal point for attracting new clients, and give the site a complete makeover.

The makeover included adapting the website to the new company branding and colours and NSA were leased to have completed the work on schedule and to the client’s satisfaction.

Following the creation and launch of their new website, CF BakeTec approached the company with a further request for new sales material for potential customers of their products. Several of the sales and Technical leaflets have now been published and are being used as the company extends its business.

The ability to offer a full range of marketing material, from websites to printed brochures, is a real bonus for NSA clients.

Is your website ready for a make-over?
A website has a very short shelf life compared with most products or services. New technology goes at such a pace that a website created just two years ago with the latest available software is soon out of date.

Screen resolution- larger formats
There are many elements that make a site look dated. Sites created five years ago were made to fit the then standard 800 x 600 pixel screen – a 15” monitor normally. These websites look extremely uncomfortable and dated when viewed on the modern large flat screen monitor – with anything from 1152 pixels to 1600 pixels resolution in use.

Font sytle and text size
Then there’s the size of text and the font on the screen. Whilst there are still restrictions on the font that can be used due to the reliance on the viewer's font library, large format Times New Roman used just a few years ago looks very untidy compared with the more modern Arial or Verdana fonts used – especially when downsized.

What colour?
An important consideration in creating the overall ‘feel’ of a website is the choice of colours. The colours on a modern site tend to make full use of the hues and shades of a delicate palette, rather than brash colours used in the earlier sites (many using a black background too – wow!).

Image size
With most internet users now equipped with broadband, the use of stamp-size images is not longer a pre-requisite. Large format, crystal clear images can now be uploaded and deployed without worries of long download times and frightening away impatient visitors.

Flash versus old GIFs
And of course, there’s Flash. The animated GIF file has long disappeared from websites now that all computers are equipped with the Adobe Flash Player. This gives a much smoother animation. Plus, the simplest animated GIF would take hours to produce, compared to the minutes a simple similar Flash animation takes.

Review now
Owners of websites need to review their whole site at least once a year to make sure it still looks fresh and inviting. We’re not talking about amendments and additions – these should be done regularly anyway. The purpose of the review is to take hold of the whole site and to compare it with the competition.

New website for leading supplier to baked product industry

CF BakeTec is the European market leader in specialist vision and control technology for the baked product industry. They have extensive experience in providing technically advanced, robust and functional vision, process control and control systems. Their overall objective is simple – to provide advanced technology which generates significant financial gains for their customers.

To maintain their lead in the sector they asked NSA to create a brand new website, one that was fresh and innovative, reflecting their company brand – CF BakeTec.

The site was launched this week and already has won praise from visitors. Like all websites, once it is made live, it doesn’t mean work stops. NSA will continue development work, plus some SEO work, to help the company increase their lead in their specialist field of activity.

Residence Medicis ready for new visitors

The owner of Holiday Apartments Residence Medicis in Lamalou-les-Bains has nearly completed a large project to update all the apartments. They are now ready and prepared for the 2009 season.

Having completed the work the owner felt it right to update the website for the apartments and NSA website Design were asked to complete this task. A tight schedule was involved as the owner wanted visitors on the internet to see a sparkling website that reflected the renovation work carried out.

CRABTREE OF GATESHEAD ON-LINE VIDEO

Video on-line for customers to view

Another example of the continuing evolution of the web. It’s now quite normal for clients to ask for video to show off their products or service. One of the clients of NSA is the world leader in metal printing machines – Crabtree of Gateshead.

Their new site, which was launched by NSA last year, contains many new features to take account of the growing business of Crabtree of Gateshead.

One new feature is a video clip that shows just how quick it is to change print plates on the Crabtree Fastready Gen 3 printing machine.

To take account of the different viewing habits of visitors, the original movie was converted into a normal Windows movie, for viewing with the Windows Media Player, and another, converted into a Flash movie for those who don’t run the Windows system – Mac owners for example.

As a ‘belts & braces’ exercise the video was even launched onto YouTube (see here... ) so everyone is catered for!

FRENCH PROPERTY COMPANY MAKE-OVER

"Luxury villas need a luxury site" - Director of Le Mas
Le Mas is a well established French company located in the Languedoc region of the south of France involved with construction of luxury houses and villas, each one individually designed and built to the client’s wishes. Company Director Christian Gallego recently approached NSA Website Design with a request to make a complete make-over of their existing website. The villas Le Mas construct are luxury build and he felt the old site did not reflect the workmanship involved in construction, nor the quality of the villas they build for clients. He required a new site that would do just that.

However, he did ask to retain the predominant blue colour scheme which he said reflected the Mediterranean and the environment in which the company worked.

Sometimes, even with a make-over, it is better to start with a blank sheet of paper, which we did, and after many hours of work we completed the site on schedule. The client is extremely happy with the new site, in particular the use of many of the photos of completed villas. Sometimes photos are best displayed by creating Flash Photo Albums, or a lightbox feature, which the client liked. Christian Gallego now feels that the quality of the villa built by Le Mas can be seen by anyone who is thinking of buying property in the south of France - www.lemas-constructions.com.

Original site well past its sell-by-date
Established in 2002 The Driveway Doctor is the premier UK Company specialising in cleaning, restoring and renovating driveways, patios, terraces and pathways. In addition to press adverts, the company make full use of the internet to advertise their business. However, the company website was well past its sell-by-date and the company were looking for a website design team that could bring their website up-to-date.

We were pleased that the company chose NSA to give the website a serious make-over, or rather, a complete brand new website, and we are extremely pleased that we can now announce the launch of the new site. This is at www.drivewaydoctor.info.

We always tell clients that a website is never finished. It’s not like a book or magazine where once it has been printed you can say the job is done. A website is an evolving entity, and the site for The Driveway Doctor is no exception. Space has been left to add new business associates onto the programme, something that we will be doing over the next 6 months or so.

Domaine de Beaumont

Great news this week as we get the chance to create a website for another wine domaine. We have one wine website already, the famous “Les 3 Poules” from the domaine of Baronnie de Bourgade: (www.les3poules.com/).

The new website is for another famous wine domaine, Domaine de Beaumont. Domaine de Beaumont is situated in the heart of the Languedoc, and near the popular resort of Cap d’Agde. The wine produced on is called appropriately “Esprit Méditerranéen” and embodies everything you could wish for from this sunny Mediterranean region. At the moment details of what the client would like for the site are a little sketchy and are to be agreed over the next few weeks.

We are extremely happy to be working on this new project and look forward to publishing a new site to make our French client’s business even more successful.
